im trying to make a movie. but ever since i got a virus problem from limewire i went back to itunes. but i remembered that itunes format is m4p and that piece of shit movie maker only take mp3 formats. ive checked high and low but all of these converters cost something. or the trial only converts part of it. if someone can get me a free converter that also has no limits to what it converts would be very helpful. and no media converter does not convert m4p files.

It's a form of MP4. (MPEG-4 Part 14, to be a little more precise.)

It's also the extension usally used by Apple to denote DRM-protected content purchased through iTunes Music Store (as opposed to the usually-unprotected .m4a extension). Guess what that means?

As I said... .m4p is a form of the MP4 standard, usually used by Apple to denote DRM-protected content purchased through iTunes MS.
