Ok heres what happened... Today I started playing Final Doom on my notebook PC I began to experience some strange lines coming out on my screen. After i closed Doom the lines were still there. I've tried rebooting, changed my hardware acceleration settings to its lowest, but it had very little effect on the lines. When I try playing movies, pictures and games, I notice that the lines only show in the shaded spots of the movie, the clear spots have no lines on em. But when i access my web pages lines are all around the browser page. the seem to be moving at a vertical angle and you can notice the lines very well. So if you have any clues on what I can do to fix this, please tell me! Thanx!

could be a possible video card problem, or maybe motherboard, do you have all the lasted drivers installed for both?

If lines are there all the time reboot screen and go into the BIOS and see if the lines are there. Sounds like your screen may have gone bad.

Also try uninstalling and reinstalling your video drivers.

Unusual for a whole line to go bad but not unheard of.

i really dont think its the monitor i think it has to do with the video card or motherboard not transmitting right.

I also think it has something to do w/ the video card, but not sure bout mother board. I already lowered my hardware acceleration to its lowest, and i changed my color from 32 bit to 16 bit, but the lines are still barely noticable :/.

Actually, his words were "Notebook PC", and as you know, PC is short for personal computer.

If your screen has lighcolored (yellow or white) static (not moving) lines which is displayed at all times when your screen is on, the damage is physical and there is no way to fix it software wise.
