Right click on your opend desktop space and click properties. then go to the Setting tab, and slilde the left to right slider under Screen resolutions. Note, DirectX does not set your screen resolution.

If you have an ATi card and you don't have the ATi control center installed (a 22mb download from ati.com), the resolution won't change. Other than that... don't know.

1. it could be that you installed the wrong driver for your video card Fix to 1. find what type video card your one is by : right click on the destop go to settings and under display it should say what type it is, then go to any sreach site and type that in look for the right driver install it and it should go over the wrong one 2. you could have download form the right site but wrong driver, there are beta driver which i say DO NOT DOWNLOAD THOSE ONES because, you should kown what beta means anyway did your card work before Yes: then gust go though your house find the cd that comes with video card reinstall that and there you go no: no idea P.S: installing dixect x agian will not work dixect x is for pc game video only not os video driver I think that you should go though your house and look for the cd that came with the video card and reinstall that to fix your problem. :deal:

Double check which drivers you want(nvidia or ATi)download again, uninstall drivers you have from add and remove programs, including control panel if its ATi.Shut down,re-start,install driver, shut down,re-start,last install control panel if ATi,shut down,re-start and now you should be able to change to what resolution you what and color.
