Hopefully a small request for people who understand gadgets and programing much more than I do. I just hooked up my new printer to print over wifi but i found out that it cant scan over wifi through the printer. Luckily if you open the Epson scanning program form the computer it will scan over wifi.
To make this as easy for my family on the main desktop i would like a gadget for the vista sidebar that you could click on to open the program, kinda like a shortcut. I put together a scan button so that it's eye catching and hopefully prevent any future conversations asking me how to scan something.
If anyone could help me out that would be wonderful and probably save a load effort and grief. Here's the image i would like the gadget to look like and the target location: C:\Windows\twain_32\escndv\escndv.exe
Edit: Also if you want higher res i can provide it
Might be stupid question, but could you not just make a shortcut with a very obvious custom icon?
@NuclearTurboPope, I had no idea gadgets were that simple. Never really looked into it. Going to have to make me a few gadgets I think...
It is simple to create a button, to get a gadget to do anything useful,... That I haven't figured out.
It works, thank you so much. One thing though, the transparency for the icon isn't working any ideas?

I wanted this so that its bigger than an icon and pops out more. Also It's harder for them to delete it and if they do i can just go back into the sidebar and bring it out.
If you upload the PNG here, I'll make sure the background is set to be transparent (if you're not sure how yourself).
The gadget is on a white background. The image is transparent, it is just on a white HTML page inside a square.
You will need to change the BGColor in the HTML, or find a way to get the desktop color... ???
I take what n0e says way too seriously

Wouldn't it be easier to just tell them not to delete it? I mean, surely any rational human being can resist the temptation to delete something on their own family's computer that they've been told they need and not delete it... Right?
Mad Cat MkII;5620763Well i made some progress and after a little research come across some code that gave me transparency, but there's also a bit of a pink outline. Apparently this is a bit of a common problem, any ideas on a fix?
Its the shadow. Remove the shadow from the image and it will get rid of the pink.
