I recently Installed Ventrilio and since then My microphone volume has been very very hard to hear. It was working fine before i installed ventrilio. I've checked all of the windows sound options and theyre all on the highest volume, and micropohne is ticked as my default recording device. I've also checked the back of my computer and made sure it wasn't plugged into the line in. Can someone please help me fix this problem.

If you open the standard Volume Control go to options and add microphone. Then options and advanced controls. Click the advanced control button that appeard under the microphone volume bar, turn on "1 Microphpne boost".

Also, when in Ventrilo and connected to a server, enter setup and adjust your "outbound" volume.

Unfortunatly that doesn't help either...., I just tested the mic on another computer and it still works fine on that.

Can you record something with Windows sound recorder and see if the volume is too low there also? That may tell you if it is Ventrilo or not.

Or maybe uninstall Ventrilo, test it, reinstall Ventrilo and try it again.

Tried the Mic in windows sound recorder and the volume was still low. Also uninstalled ventrilio and that didn't effect the volume at all...
