I'm Right, You're Wrong

Hey Im not exactly sure if this if this is the right place to post this, so if it isnt feel free to move it. I just bought a plantronics headset with microphone and I am getting problems with the quality of it. Whenever I go on Ventrilo with my clan they all complain about the background noises that my mic picks up. I can hear it in the background of my headphones as I write this as well. I have looked through sound settings in the control panel and I have tried different settings but the background noise never dissapears. If anyone has some advice on how to cancel out these background sounds please tell me. If it means I have to download some software im happy to do it. Anything Please Help Me!!! Thanks

Probably tried this while you were playing with the settings. Try to turn down the gain of the mic. Does your soundcard have its own control panel. If its onboard audio it should still have its own contol panel. If that doesn't work google Platronics Background Noise. You will come back with hits for background noise suppressors. I can't give you an exact site because I don't know the model of your headset.
