I was wondering if you can have different types of hdd interfaces like an EIDE hard drive with a SATA hard drive in a computer for further capacity upgrade. so is it possible i can mix different types of hdd interfaces into a computer? or will it cause problems?

no problems should occur, you could even insert a pci HDD controller on top of all that, it doesn't matter.
