What? Can you please say that so that it makes sense? I can tell you are sad, you have a modem, and something about speed.

Get high-speed internet (DSL/Cable/Etc) or go to a LAN party.

There's no physical way to speed up dialup modems short of compressing data, which won't improve your ping in the slightest. In fact it may even make it worse. Bottom line is that V.92 56k modems top out at 5kb/s, on a good day, going downhill with a tail wind.

You're screwed then. Have you checked for alternative methods such as ISDN, cable or satellite? Have you tried a 56k modem? I doubt there's a reason you can't use 56k instead of 28.8k (no idea what a 26.00 speed modem is, I assume you mean 28.8k), but it's not exactly much of an improvement.

Satellite internet services. Research them for your area. It's like cable, but less reliable, though it may be the only option for your situation.

He also wants a low ping. Something satellite connections cannot deliver.

If you want a slight improvement, you may want to look into ISDN. Otherwise either get cable or wait for DSL to become available in your area.
