After my computer is dormant for a while, 3+ hours the moniter will flick off after a second and doesnt come back on, if i reset it sometimes fixes the issue.

Just wondering if it would be my video card or the moniter that needs to be replaced.

Moniter: LG Flatron L1717S Video card: Gainward 6600GT AGP

Need a quick reply, i need to fix this urgently.

Alot of monitors do that, turn them selves off, and you need to repower the monitor turning it off then on to get it back, so its neither

No what i mean is, you move the mouse and it comes on but strait away turns off. When turning back on after that it continues to do it, whats happening isnt normal, the monitor is 2 years old and has never done it before.

Sometimes it's a default in your operating system. It's energy saver program will turn the monitor off after a couple hours. This can be reset.
