I just ordered a Area-51 Alienware pc and I'm looking to upgrade my monitor as well. I chose to go with a 20' lcd for the size. Now i've come across many issue to address before buying a lcd. Now the obivious one is response time and contrast ratios.

Now my question to you all is what's more important for a gamer repsonse time or contrast ratio.

I've found a lcd with a 16ms repsone time but with a contrast ration of 400:1 then I found one with a ratio of 800:1 but with a response time of 20ms.

Is contrast ratio that big of a thing that should out weigh response time?

Please any inoformation would be great....Thxs ------------------------------------------------------------

Lcd's arn't good for gaming... You should get a flatscreen CRT... Much cheaper and no ghosting, ect...

I agree, the cost of a 20" LCD for even a medicore one is upwards from 1000 US
