I have a new build and have just now plugged in my keyboard, mouse, and a new monitor. Everything is new in the build - the Motherboard, Memory, PSU, CPU, Graphics card, etc. but now that I have plugged it all in the Monitor stays in sleep mode as if the computer is not plugged in and the keyboard is not even turning on. Any ideas?
You may need to clear the CMOS on the MB to get it to boot up. Look in your MB manual to see if there's a jumper to do that with, it should be near the battery on the MB.
I tried that, still nothing. Moved the pins from 1-2 to 2-3 wait for around a minute then replaced them and tried to boot. Still a blank screen on the monitor.
Remove the battery and unplug the 24-pin from the motherboard(or remove the power from the back of the computer) instead of just moving the jumpers .
Tried that. Still nothing.
Monitors work on another computer?
Yes, one I used for a long time and had never failed on me, the other I had just purchased but not sure if it worked fully. I tried on both of them.
When you turn on your machine do the fans start up? and does the computer make any beeps at boot?
EDIT: Oh sorry, read other thread you have started, the fans do start though correct?
