Hey guys, currently I have a Logitech 2X Optical Wheel Mouse and I feel I'm just not getting the performance I need when gaming. I play mostly FPS's and would like some recommendations for a new mouse. I'm not looking for anything extravagant and such, just a great gaming mouse with a scroll wheel, nor do I want a cordless mouse.
Many thanks :)

Well, I am pretty happy with my Fellowes WebPro optical mouse. It has five buttons plus a scroll, is the size of a deck of cards, and I have never had any problems with it. Highly customizable for desktop performance as well. :)
I got it from Office Max for about $15.
I Love my Logitech MX500. Its optical, has a scroll wheel, and a few other buttons for easy windows. it does 5.8 megapixels/second - no lag here. its not wireless, but has a long cord. Im not sure how much they cost. great mouse for gaming.
Thanks guys, I'll look into both. :)
Logitech MX510 The BEST mouse out there... well aside from the Razor :)
I just got a tablet with a mouse and a pen so i can white board with my friends on MSN. (400 post yay)

Umm, I don't think that is the gaming mouse he is looking for ;)
Once I reprogrammed all the buttons on it, I absolutly love my MX1000, but it is definately not cheap. Wireless and rechargeable, and it looks really nice as well (best looking mouse I have ever seen I think). The precision is superb, and even though it is quite heavy (which I prefer over the lighter feel of the wired mice) it glides quite well over my cheap, falling apart, needs to be replaced mouse pad. My only complaint with it is that the forward and back buttons didn't work with Firefox, but after reprogramming them to execute the keyboard strokes alt+ <- and alt + -> it fixed that problem, and they still work in IE as well. I also reprogrammed the application switch button to refresh, because I never used the application switch.
Pyroshande, you should try the Firefox extension Mouse gestures. Its pretty cool.
I use the MX510 and love it I do. The IE series from Msoft was to light and plastic for me, the MX series is a bit more compact.
Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll check them all out. :)
