How come we havnt came up with being able to use movies as a desktop back ground? Wouldnt that be cool?
I think Object Desktop has got some sort of program which allows animated desktops. I could try finding the link later.
would it lag your computer like hell?
anyway I have tryed an animated desktop...not fun at all, i hated it :p
You probally can make movies your desktop. It's LAG your PC lot. Personally, I've got enough fun as a screensave, but that's just me LOL...
It would just use as much RAM and CPU power as it takes to show a movie. You can try making a hrmlsite that shows the movie all the time. As far as I know you can select html files as desktopbackground. Include something like a stop-button in case you want to play a game.
I take what n0e says way too seriously

Am I missing something? A entire post maybe?
Interesting to note that it only took Microsoft 3 years to address TIKI's request.
I didn't make it!

A program called BSPlayer allows you to do exactly that. Replacing your static image wallpaper with a playing movie.
I used the feature from time too time. Create a lengthy playlist of movies, and leave it running in the background.
It's a pretty damn good program too. In fact after my first year using it. I now totally disable microsoft media player/center after formats and use BSplayer exclusively for all of my video needs. It does quite a lot with very little.
