Mozilla Developer News » Blog Archive » We’re happy that you Digg us, but…

After being stabbed in the heart to find that it was only a rumour, I decided to get the release candidate anyways.

The addons I used previously, AdBlock, DBStatus, et cetera, all work fine w/ this build. I just thought I'd spread the knowledge that 3.0 Beta 1 will be available soon, and you can still get the RC (like me) if you want to.

As for enhancements, I haven't seen much yet.

Sounds good, but I can wait until the actual release for a few days.

hey wow.. they finally added the menu's. They took them out in the last few releases. It made management of the browser a little.. difficult but shared settings with bon echo, so it wasn't so bad.

I think I might give it a go. I like 2 so why not give 3 a go?

That's odd, Mine is very stable and only crashes when I'm doing TONS online.

Here's what happens:

Sometimes when I open multiple tabs, it freezes. The address bar stays on the URL of the most recent tab, and I can't click between tabs. The only way to change between tabs is to right click the tab bar and manually select it. I generally restart Firefox when this happens...

It only started after the last update.

I think that is a bug in Firefox. I've had it for years. On and Off... Its usually connected to Flash, Adobe Acrobat, or some kind of streaming media. Not a common problem though...

I've never had that problem. When I open a PDF, I can't switch between tabs w/ CTRL+TAB, but that's the only way I've had an issue.

from what i've heard, the biggest improvement from 2 to 3, is that 3 uses a fifth of the resources
