my faithful ipod of 5 years died a few days ago, and i have saved up enough money to purchase a new mp3 player.

i was wanting to know the pros and cons of zunes and ipods. I have read reviews on zunes and researched about them, i am simply looking for someone to put in personal or first hand information about zunes and ipods, and which one would be better worth my money

regards, sorrow

It depends on how much music you have, imho. Zunes only go up to 80gigs, but play a large amount of music formats. iPods go up to 160gigs, but only play a limited number of formats and only play mp4 videos. I tend to go with iPod since i've got a huge music collection, but Zunes have better quality from what i've heard.

Bottom line: Zune, unless you have a 90 gig plus library and want to have it with you at all times.

I found that the Ipods are the best for you're money and 80GB's for $319 AU seemed pretty cheap to me.

I've had a Toshiba Gigabeat for the past, oh what is it now, 3-4 years. I have the F series which, just puttered out on me. The new S series is a good buy. I think the maximum size is 80GB. It plays videos, photos, and multiple audio formats.

I'm not really a creative fan, but I just really hate apple and microsoft. I have an Iriver and that thing has help up pretty well over the last 4+ years.
