Sorry, but no problems here either. Try running a spy bot or ad ware search and destroy. Those things can really fudge your comp up.

Microsoft test stuff before making it publicly available. It may have minor problems, but it will work on the majority of PCs.

I've been beta testing MSN Messenger since 6.0 and never came across any serious issue where it did anything to my system. A little instability yes, but that's expected with any beta program. It modifies only a few other programs and not the windows core. Outlook, Outlook Express and Internet Explorer are the only programs that are modified when it's installed.
Could you please elaborate on the issue and perhaps I can help you.

I just downloaded it a few days ago, absolutly no problems for me. It's probably something to do with your computer.

No matter how much beta testing you do, theres no way they can do a better job then a full public release where millions will be using it.
