hello, i am running winamp version 5.21 on windows ME. i havent had any problems with it and my ipod untill today. about an hour ago i transfered an album to my ipod and now none of the previeous song (including the one i recently uploaded) appear on the ipod. the idevice no longer appears under the device tab in the media library. all the music is there, it can be viewed and played from windows explorer (removeable disk (e:)/ipod_control/music,etc.). is there anyway this problem can be fixed without having to erase the hard drive or reformatting it?
any help is appreciated. im going on a trip tomorrow and i would hate to have to leave my ipod.
i found a solution. can changing the drive letter of a volume be done in windows ME?
I know this exists in XP, but I don't know about ME, but try and see if it's there. Go to Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Storage>Disk Management (local) From there, right click on the iPod drive, click "Change Drive Letter and Paths..." then "Change..." then select the drive letter you want it to be. Sorry in advance if this doesn't help or doesn't exist in ME.

ah, windows ME, there's some good memories (god the headaches...). but, i believe that there should be a disk-utility exe that lets you change drive letters.
