Well, as the title said: My Computer keeps Shutting down. Its happened twice now in two days. Both times I was playing Team Fortress 2 and the computer just loss power and shuts down. I'm positive that its not a power outage because I have a battery that is suppose to keep the computer one in the event of a power outage for about 14 minutes (I think)...and it didn't (plus my speakers aren't plugged into it and they stayed on. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with Team Fortress 2, but it wouldn't surprise me. Can anyone help.

P.S. I have no viruses.

It might be a problem with your power supply. What I'm thinking is that the PSU is being over loaded by to much stuff or things that require more power than they are getting.

I had my dad take a look and he found a ton of dust (might be the problem), he also played around with the memory (I really don't know what he did:)). If that doesn't work, he'll get me a new power supply since my one is a bit old.

High temps probably did it. Hope it runs stable.

Sounds like it is most likely overheating caused by the dust if it hasn't done it regularly before.

Yea if you live in a dusty environment, like the desert, you should clean your case out ever 2 or 3 months(with canned air)
