I plan to do some gaming on it, like JK3, Supreme Commander, Half Life 2, Oblivion, BFME1-2 and X-Pack, Halo 2 Vista, AoE 1-3, CS:S, F.E.A.R., Halo CE, and other games. Do you think it will be able to play those on high? And how well do you think it will perform in Crysis? In total, it's about $950. Anyone know of any better deals? (Don't say the Dell Inspirons, because the deals on those end in 3 days)
Looks nice, dunno about playing them all on high, definately some of them. Certainly looks nice m8, have fun with it.
except being dell.. the specs are killer.
I like how they include the stickers on the spec list lol.
For under $1000, that's a hell of a nice computer.
I have to agree, very nice for the price. Should play all the games you listed fine. I wouldn't expect much for Crysis though..
no, change the graphic card! Really its a 8600 gt, they are great for movies and mediacenter but they suck in gaming. THey are even less then a 7900 GS, way less! probably a little bit better than a 7600 gt(thats all!)

Its a decent mid-range card and should play all he wants fine. Plus Vostros only go as high as to 8600M GT's. I'd be pretty happy with one of them in my laptop.
oke you have dx 10 but dont expect to play max settings! i went to every store, and they told it. In even magazines. The card is not great for gaming.

While that is a nice setup you've got there I'm not to sure about being able to play all those games you listed on high res. In short the Vostro's are designed for small business use and not so much for gaming. The machines from Dell that are designed for gaming are the XPS systems and some of the higher end Inspirons.
