Well my win7 rating for a vid card (Areo?) went from 5 to 7.2 I just got the basic PNY GTS-450 $119.00 at Best Buy. (there, aaarg) but check out this article and get to the heat section, all very interesting and well layed out info for what each game engine offers in 3d difficulty, in very few words. Like he tells how the plan comes together with one paragraph between game engine per card, pretty cool. (I am sure you been there before) PNY GeForce GTS 450 1GB So now you can clobber me again for buying that 9400gt (with i7 920, 6gig system) ,then today, lol, and I could have got the GTX-460 for $179.00 (but more is more ) .! So at least I have a direct X 11 vid card, that runs cool, 100 watts. and ain't an, Asus 9400GT 1 gig low profile. My new cheapo is against the ATI-5750 ? (I don't know how good or bad it is to make sense) Well it all installed, nothing blowing up yet, next! ?, ... a new supply.

Pretty much a gts 250 but with more features, good card. You could've gotten it cheaper though.

hope this thing don't trash my supply it's 530 watt but nothing gets hot so far.

I have to agree with Von. If you're buying a GTS 450 online you can get them for only about $80 on MIR currently. Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1450-TR GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

In fact for the same price you paid, you could have gotten an ASUS 768MB GTX 460, again, on MIR. Newegg.com - ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/768MD5 GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Nooooooo, the price I paid was $119.00 same for all the websites, the 460 was $179.00 (PNY) No credit cards pay cash, no waiting, and can return if needed like 1.5 miles away, 5 year warranty. You guys in your fake deals. Newegg has a $20.00 rebate, so that would be better.

OK, big deal, so I didn't notice you said "after tax". Even if you DID pay $119, it's about $40 more than you needed to pay, and for only $10 more, the 460 is a MUCH better card.

Sometimes you just have to own up and admit you didn't get a very good deal (esp considering the time of yr it is) rather than accusing those responding of putting up "fake" deals. I mean really, quite absuurd of you to say. We're only trying to help you get the best deal.

This. Some more than a year ago I got a gts250 for 96€, and my uncle a 9600gt for 120€ one month later. Gotta do your research! :D

You could have bought a much more powerful 4870 or 4890 even for less than $100 now if you looked around eBay or tech forum sales sections.

Well he DID go with what is still one of the best bang for buck GPUs, it's just that the price he paid is outdated. I know a guy that reviewed then shelved an EVGA GTS250 SC 512MB 768MHz card he said he'll sell for $80 with shipping included. That however was an offer he made maybe 2 or 3 months ago. Now you can get a GTS 250 for as low as $70 with 1GB VRAM. I just did myself, but I've yet to send in the UPC/serial codes for the rebate because I'm hoping I can get a 580 before the postmark date for the rebate ends and return the 250. Fry's already said they'll take it back even if the UPC/serial codes are cut off the box, as long as I still have them.

Ya but this comes in a blackbox, even the inside box is black as well, all overclocky looking. lol........ (add, as a review said they made it look more for the enthusiast)I must say it does look pretty badass. Thing is, think if I bought a gtx 260 but I got the 9400GT for 50$ and all those cards would not do directX 11 back then. So now I got the base card and have a backup vid card without having to loose as much. now the next step is wait till these hit $50 and do SLI but then get a more powerful supply, and have a backup supply. Everything is working good, now UT3 I get 180 fps looking at the floor in Deck.Plus the old card took power from the slot.
