I already have a copy of Vista Ultimate Edition that I haven't installed yet. I think the bottleneck here is the motherboard, just because i've never been able to pick a good motherboard.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

jeez i c you dont have much of a budget limit so you can get the best of everything. oh yeah and i would get the EVGA 8800 Ultra, pretty sure they have some of the best cards. did you look more into the cases? i think you can find a better one then that, your gonna want alot of airflow with that kinda setup, or else its gonna be like an oven in there. maybe a case like this Newegg.com - NZXT Zero Black/Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Retail maybe a motherboard like this Newegg.com - ASUS Striker Extreme LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX The Ultimate Gaming Motherboard - Retail

I have to say it looks like a lovely rig and i have a feeling you know as well as we all do that there isnt a bottleneck anywhere. It is a lovely machine and you should be very happy but IMHO some bits are not just expensive but a complete waste. These are as follows.

Wait and see who comes out on top, BLU Ray or HD DVD or you could be wasting a huge sum. PhysX Processing Unit 12. With barely a dozen games to even support this item its pointless.

2xGeForce 8800Ultra. 2 x GTX would offer only 3 percent (ish) lower performance than 2 x ultras for about 20 percent less outlay, ultras are shockingly poor value for money.

Good luck whatever you purchase. Does look nice.

I would go with 2x GTX's like UNDIESRULES said.

Other than that, everything else is top of the line. Nothings going to bottleneck you because all that is just about the best there is at the moment.

How much is that rig going to cost you?

Save yourself some cash and go for 2x GTX's. Ultras are just a waste. And that mobo you picked is in no way at all a bottleneck. You can also give up that PhysX card and save yourself some more money. Its also a waste. Only works for 2 or 3 games (G.R.A.W., City of Heroes, Armed Assault. Only ones that support it I think) and not many other games are planning to support it. Also do you plan to watch Blu-Ray DvD on your PC? If not I can't imagine why you would want a Blu-Ray drive..save yourself $500... Also, that 1TB Hitachi Harddrive is more than enough, why do you need to spend another $500 on that HP? Other than that I think you've got a dream PC on your hands.

I've made the changes that super6-4 suggested (love the case btw).

I've also decided to go with EVGA cards, however not GTX's. I didn't like the GTX's lower clock's. I went with 2 of these Newegg.com - EVGA 768-P2-N887-AR GeForce 8800Ultra 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail.

Also the physx card is only $150, I can easily afford it.

I do plan to watch Blu-Ray movies so I got that drive.

I've also dropped the CPU from the list. I'm now waiting for the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6850 to arrive somewhere.

But as far as saving goes, I have no limits on cash and I want the best. Especially since this machine has to last me a couple years with games :D.

Thanks everyone for your input, I've just ordered everything. Newegg is about 15 miles away so everything gets here in a day, even with standard shipping. :D

Subtotal: $7,589.83 Tax: $626.16 Shipping: $119.60 Grand Total: $8,335.59

If you don't mind me asking...where did all this cash come from? You win the lottery? :p

Maybe he robbed a bank! :p

So you went with the ultras? The small performance increase is not worth the extra price in my opinion, but if moneys no issue for you, then go for it.

You could have always overclocked the GTX's to Ultra speeds or higher, but thats up to you.

I know I could have overclocked, but i'm no good at it. I had been saving up for a PC for a year and a half. My goal was 12k because I thought my dream PC was going to be at least 10k, looks like I have a little left over for food and gas. :D
