I'm trying to sell my old PC but my problem is in MY COMPUTER if I check the properties it says there Intel(R) Celeron(R) and in dxdiag. But when I got a problem in one of my games I write to ask questions in EA Games. They scan my computer system and the results is this Genuine Intel Pentium IV Computer Name : USER-SFBX513G0P CPU Info CPU Count : 1 CPU Type : 2368 MHz GenuineIntel Pentium IV 15 2 9 RAM : 224 MB Total 126 MB Free Virtual RAM : 546 MB Total 326 MB Free Operating System : Windows XP Service Pack 2 5.1.2600 Default Browser : c:\progra~1\yahoo!\browser\ybrowser.exe %1 Version : 3.0.2.0 Temp Directory : C:\DOCUME~1\admin\LOCALS~1\Temp\ Size : 116 MB Is there any other way to check what cpu am I using other than "dxdiag" and Properties?????
You will have a Celeron if it says so in My Computer. The thing that recognised your computer as a Pentium will have just seen it was made by Intel and classed it as a Pentium. This could be due to it being a old program, or the programmer just being lazy.
yeah installed DR-Hardware and it also showed me that I got a Pentium4 instead of a celeron...
