It anoys me so much.. Ok, I hate it.. I nearly smashed it up, but I cant becuase it was a gift for XMAS off my folks.. so anyway.
Lol what's wrong with it?
Naked Lemon;3523817So If you had a rubbish cpu, but a great graph card it would play better than a medium card and a medium cpu?
In most cases, I'd say yes.
Your cpu isn't really rubbish though. While it's not top notch, it's certainly adequate enough to play any of the games you mentioned.

Then why doesnt it. Why can CSS run smooth on that comp but not on mine?
Ok. Then awnser me this. 1024MB RAM Pentium D Processor, 2.80Ghz 512MB NVidia GeForce 7300 SE - CSS DOESNT RUN SMOOTH 1GB Pentium 4 Processor, 3Ghz 128 NVidia GeForce (cant remember) - CSS RUNS PERFECTLY ON HIGHEST DETAIL AND HDR EFFECTS ?? Hmm.
NOW FOR THE PC. 1024MB RAM Pentium D Processor, 2.80Ghz NVidia GeForce 7300 [hate it, PC world said it was good] 512MB memory
GRRRRR...? What parts do I really needto replace, becuase I bought this so I could play new games at a playable level. ROFL ses the computer. Oblivion doesnt run smoothly, CSS doesnt run smoothly, The cloak on Jedi Academy lags my computer.
THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A GAMING PC. AHH!!H!H!H!HAHHAAHAH!H!!111111 So when I bought CSS and it didnt work, I hit the roof. But then I played it on the family computer, to prove theres something fishy on my comp. It worked on ultimate graphics detail like all the fancy effects. Perfectly. When I try that boom, welcome to unsmoooth laggy horrible land. It anoys how the family computer has a worse graph card than mine[I think its like 128mb] and like a 3ghz and a 1gb ram.. WHO FEELS MY PAIN OR CAN GIVE ME ADVICE? :D peasx

Without a doubt, the video card is the key component you should upgrade.
A 7600gt ($110) or even better, a 7900gs ($180) should serve you well.
btw - The memory size doesn't determine how good the card is. For instance, a 256mb 7900gs completely obliterates the performance of a 512mb 7300. Core speed, memory speed/type are the more determining factors in performance. Just ask the techies before you purchase.
So If you had a rubbish cpu, but a great graph card it would play better than a medium card and a medium cpu?
