I'm looking for a laptop for under Ā£500 that will give me enough power for light gaming (playing RuneScape, Call of Duty 1 and 4), graphic/programming design, web browsing etc.

I can't make my own, but I can't seem to find a website which offers decent laptops at low prices, so if you could find one for me and tell me why you think the laptop is good for what I need, that will be a great help.

P.S, The site you look on should preferably based in the UK.

Not going to happen if you want to run games decently. Sorry to break it to you.

You could play Runescape and Cod1, but not cod4, for 600-700pond (like 900USD) you can.

For that budget, you'll be able to play CoD4, but you'll have to compromise on settings and resolution. Any laptop with a Core 2 Duo (let's say 2.2GHz and above) and at least a Mobility Radeon 4570 or 9600M GT or GT 240M should do the job. My old Dell Studio 15 (around $750 US) had a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo and Mobility Radeon 4570 256MB, and it could run Modern Warfare 2 at 1366x768 and medium settings pretty comfortably.

Yes, but that's not going to happen, prices are way higher here (Uk/EU).

OP, you will need to be happy with cod1 and runescape, or raise your budget.
