Well as the thread tittle says, i need a new battery for my laptop. After 2 years and several full discharges that i probably should of avoided battery care tells me it only has less then 1/3 its original capacity and even win7 is telling me i need to replace it now.
So here's the facts, my laptop is an HP dv7t with a 2.26 intel centrino 2 dual inside and a nvidia 9600m GT and back in its prime could get about 3 maybe 3 1/2 hrs of battery life as long as i was in power saver mode and not gaming.
What would be a good repacement battery that would get at least that amout of battery time but preferably more? I'm not lugging this thing around to much and weight isn't to much of a big deal but i would like to keep it down.
Get a generic battery off eBay or something.
Here's a 12-cell, the highest capacity for the dv7t, for $50:
I've used these Chinese knockoff sellers for a spare battery for my previous Dell laptops, and they work just fine. They might be a few hundred mAh below the official rating, but that's a matter of minutes.
Well took your advice and ordered it, ill have to see how it preforms once it gets here.
