I uninstalled battlefield vietnam quite a long time ago and want to reinstall it now. So when i insert the installation c-d's it tells me the game is already installed. I've already uninstalled the game, so i go to add or remove programs just incase, and i see battlefield vietnam there, but its only listed as 8 MB! So I go to program files and there are no battlefield vietnam files anywhere, but it is still listed on add/remove programs. So how do i completely uninstall the damn thing so I can reinstall it?

Well have you deleted it in add/remove programs?

If it still says its installed, then just click "reinstall" in the cd menu.

thats the thing, i can't remove it from add/remve programs, after i uninstall it, it is still there, and it is listed as only being 8 MB large which i think is also strange. And i cannot reinstall it, there isn't an option for that.

As stated in our BFV forum: http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=161509

MainLAN Dog: This might help, got the info off another forum. don't remember where or I would give credit. I copied it and saved it for future use.

In order to reinstall, you need to remove the keys in the registry. Here a few steps to guide you thru, please note and follow carefully. Do the following in order to uninstall: 1. Delete the folder (including all sub folders), from where the program was installed. Default is C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield Vietnam 2. Go to "Start", then "Run", then type there "regedit" and hit ok. 3. At the top left side, select "File", then select second choice "EXPORT", you will need to enter a file name (like: RegCopy_todays_date), and select a folder or c:\ to place your "backup" exported registry. (In case you need to or if you make a mistake someplace, you may return back to the registry and use "Import" to get it back to the previous). You MUST do that, very important to EXPORT, which is saving your reg. Then... 4. Under "Edit" hit "find" (Ctrl+F)and type "Battlefield" 5. The 2 folders that will find and you need to DELETE are: (do not delete any BF1942 if you have it): HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Battlefield Vietnam HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam
