Dang, 650 Mhz core..... wahoo.....

The Geforce 7900 GTX should cost between $499-$649. Nvidia recommends a price of approximately $499 for retail cards. The Geforce 7900 GT should cost around $299 and will indeed be an attractive card.

Guess I might wait a while.....

That GTX looks pretty nice. Hopefully retailers don't price gouge like they are doing with the 7800gtx 512mb card. I will get one if it's in the ballpark of $500

Geforce 7900 GTX works at 650MHz core and 1600MHz memory. The slower Geforce 7900 GT features a similar design but comes as a single-slot card clocked at 450MHz core and 1320MHz memory

I have head that it will be priced at about £250 (GT), this may influance the sale prices of the other lower cards that are that price! i,e. 7800GTX 512mb £500, that will have to drop! and the other 6800s will lose out on money to! I may have to sell mine quick!

I was thinking the 7900 would STOMP the 1900... "The 7900 GTX 512 might end up slightly slower than ATI's X1900 XTX but we learned that at heavy load, at 1600x1200 FSAA with Aniso on, ATI can keep up. " I can't wait for the reviews to hit. I'm not a hardcore ATI guy, I'm all for whoever brings in the goods. But if they start gauging the 7900gtx 512's like they did the 7800gtx's, and it doesn't "significantly" beat out my card, I'm definately not going to be hopping on that band wagon.

It's important to note, however, that the areas in which the X1900XTX outperforms the 7800GTX dovetail with the direction in which game developers are headed

By MaxPC in the April '06 issue. ATi is headed in the right direction in their cards, which explains why the 7900GT(X) might not kick the 1900 as hard as everyone thinks it will. Wait and see my friends, a sense a swing of power is acomin':nodding:
