Hey was wondering if someone could give me a hand... I just installed the latest drivers for my network card from Windows Update, and when nothing is plugged in, the little disconnected Icon is there in the bottom right of the screen. However, when I plug in my xbox, the icon just "dissapears" no message or anything, so I dont think its registered it as being connected, I try to connect to Live! and it registers the cables as being plugged in in both ends, but it doesnt do anything, as Im not sure if my network card has it registered. Can someone give me a hand? If you need any more info, just ask.

I dont understand what your doing with xbox in all of this.

Properties "My network Places" ----> properties "Local area connection" ----> check the box that says "Show icon in taskbar when connected"

Start ---> Run ---> type: CMD press enter ---> type: IPCONFIG press enter If the numbers behind "IP address" doesnt start with 169. you are connected.
