Corsair Value RAM is fine unless you're overclocking. A combination of decent RAM, one of the best brands in the business and a low price is unbeatable. Unless you're overclocking, of course. And on the overclocking side, Corsair rock for that as well, I've had some of their DDR400 XMS Pro hit DDR500 speeds. 25% is an amazing increase for just about anything.
I agree with Aristotle, if you can't afford two graphics cards (either now or in the future), you may as well pocket the money you'll save by going for a non-SLI board.
