I just bought a computer with an AMD athlon 64 3800+ processor, 1 gig ram, 160 gig Hd, radeon x850 XT gpu and an sound blaster audigy 4 sound card. Im pretty big into games and i was wondering how this system will do for gaming, online and off. I am planning to run COD2, Americas Amry, World of Warcraft, maybe HL2, Doom 3, CS:S, DOD and Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Will my computer be able to handle these types of games at max settings?

Yes. It will be able to play all of those games.

ES Oblivion, I don't know. It will defenatly be able to play it, but not sure on what settings yet.

But it is still quite a nice Computer.

Offline, Yes.

Online... ??? Depends on the Anti-Virus and Firewall, etc... (Also depends on the Internet Speed, but that is another thread...)

If you're using Norton AV, or McAfee, then you may have a little lag online. They are known to slow down the PC quite a bit... Other than that, it looks great.

I run a Sempron (Athlon XP) 2400+, with 512mb of DDR400, and a 160gb HDD. The Video card matters the most these days, and the X850 is a great one. Unfortunately I am still stuck with a lamer (now obsolete) Geforce 4 MX440 64mb.

You have basically the same PC as me, except I use a 3700+ and an X800GTO. I can run most of today's games maxed out - I get 70-80fps out of Source games on maximum settings (4xAA, 16xAF, etc.), and Doom3/Quake4 manages around 35-40fps on "Very High".

You should have no problems.
