I am selling my old digital camera and getting a new one. I need suggestions. My specifications are at least 5megapixels must be able to record video(with sound) must have some sort of stabilization technology must be able to record sound seperate from video should have built in wifi should be easy to use, point and shoot sort of thing, but have many scene modes must be in the ultracompact size range.
I checked, and the only one that really fit my specs was the kodak v610. I read some bad reviews about that though. Because I am expecting at least $800 from selling my current camera, my range will be about $450 max.
Panasonic is the one with the new Optical Image Stabilizer. Other than that not many of them that I have tried are that good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16830134034
I know sony and kodak also have it. Does anyone have experience with the kodak v610? I have heard it gets bad battery life.
Get a canon powershot series one, they are all good. Canon has the best quality cameras, no use even arguing.
but what about my other specifications?
My FZ7 has the Leica 12x 35mm eq. lens and IQ is amazing. I just bought this recently and have been absolutely happy with it. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicfz7/ I contemplated the purchase for over a week, but I chose it over the Cannon s3 and Sony H5, which from what I was told by the Camera sales rep had inferior lens to the Leica that was on the FZ7. I would take a serious look at this camera as it seems to fit every single one of your requirements like a glove.
you need a Sony DSC-h2 or h5. It's got all you need, minus the wifi and separate sound recording
