Intel just gave out info on their new "9xx" platform. At the same time they released a bunch of pictures of BTX-motherboards and coolingsolutions that is seen to be the standard of Intels motherboards as well as mini-computers.
Type 2 fan
BTX is Intels big plans of creating a system to replace the current ATX formfactor. Balanced Technology Extended (BTX) isnt layed out as a normal ATX card. The north & southbridge are closed in distance to make CPU and RAM more centered on the motherboard. Details from Intel is http://www.intel.com/update/contents/dt10031.htm
Very interesting, thanks for the info!
:o that is cool:cool: how much do they run?

Im guessing its the black slot, top right corner first pic.
Gimpywheres the pci/pci express slots?
Yes, the pci express is the black slot that looks like an agp slot.
Looks badass in comparison with the old ones, but I couldn't tell whats what on that thing if my life depended on it. :uhm:
I'd bet you would have to buy a whole new case for it though...
i like how they blur out the cpu. Damn Pentium 5.
how come theres only 3 pci's? that mobo blows if it only has 3, If its only half of it and theres more pci, then woohoo!
