I'm still using an old LG 17" CRT monitor and am thinking of getting a new one. 22" because they seem to have the best deals at the moment. I play games, so yeah...one that is good for games would be good and just general use also.
Nothing too fancy.
I'm leaning towards the Samsung 226BW so far because it's meant to be good and the price is pretty good too. Also, is it still true that there are 3 different panels for it? Or has that now stopped?
I have a HannsG that I'm fond of, that Samsung one seems nice too.
I have a Sceptre X22WG-Gamer. It has a higher static contrast ratio (1200:1 vs 700:1), a slightly wider viewing angle, has an HDMI input as well as the standard VGA and DVI inputs, and is cheaper than the Samsung 226BW. It also has a built-in USB 2.0 hub. I love it and have never had a problem with mine. I went from a 19" CRT to this and thought it was huge. I can only imagine what your 17" to 22" experience will be like.
Samsung is really great, recently i just received this Samsung 2253BW for $300 on sale at a deal site, works great.
I'll second sunshineday's monitor choice; good monitor right there.
