I have two monitors connected to my computer, two 17inch crts, and I cannot stand their size, weight, and the headaches they give me on any refresh rate, I am looking for two matching lcd screens for a total of <$400 and 17inch or more, if lcd is too expensive I really need a flatpanel with no glare

Don't want to sound like a n00b but isn't LCD and flatpanel the same?

See if you can find something here.

"Flatpanel" refers to the flattness of the screen itself, not the overall size of the monitor. LCD's are technically flatpanel, but "flatpanel" is actually more, "flatscteen" Normal CRT monitors are round, "flatpanel"s are well.... flat.

19" Widescreen - $209.99 each ($189.99 after mail in rebate, but you can probably only do that on one) (link) 17" - $169.99 each (link)

thanks, I will try convince my parents to let me buy it in maybe 6months, I have had a lot of upgrades recently and they are reluctant to let me even do the latest one(new case, new cpu cooler, dvd burner, ramsinks, 2gigs of flash for my digital camera, 5grams of arctic silver, just to list the stuff in the past month, my comp was overheating really badly)

I'm not suprised. After all that stuff, some of which is kinda pointless (ramsinks? 2gb camera memory?!); then if your screens still work (which they do, from your post), just be happy with them for now.

well they all had a purpose 1.Ramsinks, my ram was overheating, causing my computer to freeze, installed the heatsinks and it was fixed 2.New psu, my old one was a 300watt, and my cpu's voltage sometimes dipped really low and would cause my computer to crash, and set the clockspeed down a lot 3.2gig memory card for my camera, I take all of my pictures at 8megapixels, and my family often goes on long trips with no access to a computer(surprising, I know) 4.New case, my old one was crap, 2 drive bays, no internal 3.5inch drive bays, nothing fit, horrible airflow, no case fans and no room for any more without drilling some holes(you get the idea, the list goes on and on) 5.New cpu cooler, I am running on an intel p4 520 at 2.8ghz(stock speed) and it hits 72c with fan speeds over 4600rpm, the words melt and >50decibles come to mind 6.Arctic silver, for the cpu cooler 7.DVD burner, this was more my parents gift to themselves, they need me to back up huge amounts of data for them. numbers 7,2,1,3 were for my birthday, from my parents

lol, well if you got a new case then 1, 5 and 6 probably wouldn't have been needed. Camera is fair enough I suppose, but do you actually print them at that quality?

yes, and I need the quality for some interesting photshop experiments, but as for the case, and 1,5,6, you try to put up with a cpu fan at 4600rpm when playing a game, the freezing was just getting ridiculous and even with a new case it wouldnt have alone fixed the problem, as for 6 the same goes with 5, I will soon install my new thermaltake big typhoon, and enjoy silence, I also should have mentioned that the case, cpu cooler, and arctic silver were ordered about 3 weeks after the other stuff arrived
