My old mouse has started acting erratically so I'm looking at buying a new mouse. I'd like it to be wired, under $50 and good for gaming. Also, it should be preferably PS/2, but I could always use a USB -> PS/2 converter I suppose.
I was looking at this mouse: Newegg.com - Logitech MX518 2-Tone 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB + PS/2 Wired Optical 1600 dpi Gaming-Grade Mouse - Retail
If anyone has any recommendations that'd be great :)

I'd go with the newer G5 personally, but if you don't want to spend the extra $10 then the MX518 is a great mouse.

I have the MX518 myself and I'm satisfied with it. I can't say how it is compared to others, as the only other ones I know are those shitty ones you get when buying a new computer. ;)

The G5 has the same casing, it doesn't have as many buttons, but too be honest while i am a gamer, i prefer using keyboard shortcuts anyway.
The g5 also has those on-teh-fly sensitivity change buttons, along with a neat indicator.
I know that if this G5 breaks, i'll get another G5 to replace it. :)
Revenge was here.
