I just ordered a new pc and was wondering what kind of performance that I should expect from it. I am not a hardcore gamer, I like to play Quake III (old school) and I know that this system will run it fine. I am interested in playing F.E.A.R and was wondering how this system will handle it. I actually bought this system more for the t.v. tuner to have an extra t.v. to put in the bedroom, but it would be nice to know if it can play any current games. And yes it's a Dell. (Don't give me too much grief about it....lol) Specs: 222-5044 1 DIM E520,Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 (1.86GHz,1066FSB) with 2MB cache 311-6718 1 1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz 310-8164 1 Dell USB KEYBOARD 310-7965 1 Dell USB 2-button mouse 320-5050 1 19 in (19 in viewable) E197FPBFlat Panel Display 320-5088 1 256MB nVidia GeForce 7300LE TurboCache 341-4210 1 160GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM) 341-4028 1 No Floppy Drive Requested 310-8548 1 Backup media for XP Media Center,Dimension E520 412-0688 1 Image Restore 412-0911 1 Dell Support 420-4927 1 Windows Media Player 10 420-5460 1 Complimentary courses: Look for EU icon 420-5476 1 Dell Direct Download 420-5646 1 Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, English without Media, for Dimension 420-5769 1 Internet Search and Portal 420-5924 1 Icon Consolidation Application 463-2282 1 Dell Owners Manual installed on your system, click on icon after system set-up to access 320-4819 1 Single TV Tuner with Remote Control 310-1966 1 Mouse included in Dell Wireless or Bluetooth Package 430-0441 1 Integrated 10/100 Ethernet 313-4427 1 56K PCI Data Fax Modem 412-0914 1 Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 313-4579 1 16X DVD+/-RW Drive 420-5781 1 Sonic Cineplayer 420-5790 1 Roxio Creator Basic/MyDVD Basic 313-2758 1 Integrated Audio 313-4032 1 Dell A525 30 Watt 2.1 Stereo Speakers with Subwoofer 412-0903 1 Norton Internet Security 2006 90 Day Trial,OEM 412-0934 1 Earthlink 412-0787 1 AOL for Broadband 420-3224 1 Broadband Icon for Inspiron 412-0912 1 MS Works 8.5 Plus Office Trial 950-3337 1 1 Year Limited Warranty 950-9797 1 No Warranty, Year 2 and 3 985-1148 1 Dell Hardware Warranty PlusOnsite Service, Initial Year 980-3060 1 Type 3- Third Party At Home Service, 24x7 Technical Support, Initial Year 960-2800 1 Warranty Support,Initial Year 310-8583 1 Express Upgrade to Windows Home Premium, Free plus S and H payable at redemption 310-8590 1 Upon receipt of PC, Go to www.dellvistaupgrade.com to redeemVista upgrade by 03/31/2007 465-4663 1 Windows Vista Capable 464-9572 1 No Preinstalled Software
With a 7300LE it's not gonna be brilliant.
It's fine if you buy Dell, as long as you get rid of the already installed programs on it, such as Ad-Aware. They have been known to kill your computer.
Howe high is your computer exsp? Do you know anywon that knows alot about computers?
Depends on what you mean. I know a little about computers.
Well you will get a very much beter computer if you build it your self. Ore if you know somewon that can help you build it.
Ouch i know the the core 2 is a grate pick (i have one But not for gaming) but the 1.8ghz might not give u the best game play.
the duo 1.86 benchmarks higher than an amd +4200. I have a P4 2.4ghz in my old system.
If I were building a gaming rig I would build it myself, like I said this is just for casual gaming and a spare t.v. I was just wondering how it would do on medium settings with newer games out there.

What are you talking about? Even the cheapest core 2 could blow away any AMD 64.
