Howdy everyone, im in the process of buidling a new gaming rig. Im going for the small compact rig which is y i bought this case http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1800610&Sku=ULT33114 not thinking ahead of myself about the video card, i heard talk that it may be too long to fit in the case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127212 if anyone would know fer sure or not about this plz lemme know thx.
It looks like it will fit in there OK, but it's gonnna be cramped. The case specs say the depth is 15" (probably a couple inches less inside), and it looks as if the HDD bays or anything else won't be in the way of the card lengthways. The height between the psu and the bottom of the expansion slots also seems to be enough.
I'd be more concerned with how well the case will cool it. Any plans for aftermarket cooling on that card?
ive thought about it, but really havnt look into it, i have 3-4 fans lying around i coule put on it if need be. I kinda would like to look into the water cooling side of things. Any suggestions?
Yea, that card oughta fit that case. I too would be more concerned about the cooling. The case itself though, may be too small for an internal water cooler, if that is indeed what you want to do.
