So are they just blowing smoke up our ass when they give a refresh rate on an lcd spec. Refresh rate is much similar to response time which is more commonly referred to when talking about refresh rate. The cathode of a crt and the cells of an lcd both need to be refreshed in some way, the lcd's usually have a refresh rate of 60hz while crt's commonly have 75-80hz. There.... looked it up for you.:cya:

lcd's do have refresh rates. though it works slightly different in lcd's. lcd's (liquid crystal display) refresh rate refers to how often the liquid "rolls" (if you look carefully, you'll see the screen refresh) at 60hz it's about 100fps. which is just barely slow enough to be caught by human sight. (not linking the source for various reasons)
