Hi im getting a new PC sound system and i dont really know much about pc sound systems so bear with me. I was thinking about buying the "Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro" with the "Creative GigaWorks S750".
- Now what i really want to know is that is 7.1, 7 individual channels so or are the back 2 one channel the middle 2 one channel and the front 3 one channel.
- And if a game doesnt support 7.1 will i lose the back 2 speakers and only get 5.1 or does the card still put the sound to all the speakers.
I really dont know what im going on about but the resrech that i have done tells me that the "Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro" with the "Creative GigaWorks S750" work great. I just want some help really Thanks Airwolf

The 7 applies to the number of distinct signals, so yes I believe you get 7 completely distinct channels. If a game doesn't support 7.1 the card will up-mix for you, it won't cut off those speakers. Likewise for stereo music and the like, the cards feature a special engine for music up-mixing.
