ok, so i went into command prompt and typed in ipconfig cuz my internet wasn't working.... it came up normal.. i've done it before and it shows about the same thing but a few different digits in the last 3 of the ip address.. well anyways, i don't know what more i can explain... it should work fine, its a 2.4 ghz p4, winxp home... any suggestions?
do you use a router or connect directly to your modem? what kinda connection do you have? try the command ipconfig /release, or /release all
yea it might be a good idea to type ipconfig /renew after that or your internet will not come back.
Processors aren't that important for internet or is it??

your cpu has no real bearing on your internet connection working or not working. The only time it's used is when it needs to generate items after being downloaded, such as flash.
But what pestilence suggested should resolve your problem.
