Its a totaly crappy card. Go for a new one asap, but 1Ghz CPU is also not very good (its the minimum for XP  ). Tell me how much money you can spent, then we will tell you what to buy :D

P3 800mhz is minimum for XP. But still if its 1ghz still very shity.

I would upgrade everything in your comp if you have a 1ghz processor, 512mb of ram, and a 6200. Very old.

Wait never mind. Found this on Microsoft..

PC with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233 MHz minimum required (single or dual processor system);* Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/evaluation/sysreqs.mspx

Strange.. My CD says 800mhz.. Bah M$ doesn't know what its dam OS needs.

It does. CeDega and WINE is your friend.

I've managed to install XP on a 400MHz Deschutes PII. It actually didn't run too badly.

As for the original post: The 6200 isn't a good card, you'd be better off with at least a 6600GT. Another 512MB of RAM wouldn't hurt, either.

your going to have to upgrade alot of stuff if you want to play Doom 3. 1.6Ghz proccesor and 128MB vid card will not run any games out today. ESPICALLY Doom 3. Its a VERY demanding game. Your gonna need a new Proccessor (go for AMD) and Vid card (6200 is crap so dont even think about it). Also another 512MB stick of ram.

BTW: Your harddrive shouldnt have anything to do with it.
