Hey Lads, Without being able to determine to much about my system event logs, or what went down while I was on holidays for 10 days. For some reason, my system now gives me a BS "You may be a victim of counter fiting" and my OCs have been reset to stock 3GHz clocks. Beside my system being dog slow to use now I lost my OCs which Im yet to put back on action, Im just wondering what would cause, while I've been a way, my system to lose its OC memory *yet keep the raid configs* and to become "deactivated" (Btw, I do legally own vista, Im on hold to MS about to scream at them) but all the same. Things that I know happened while I was away.. 26th - Turned of Power at Wall Sockets (Meaning PC was running off the bios battery) 31st - PC Turned back on (Unknown reason, however it was off at the wall and unplugged, someone plugged it back in, Possibly my sister using it) 31st - 4th - Plugged in at wall ever since 31st. I suspect highly the battery went dead, and lost the bios configs, causing them to reset, which then in turn, after various bad OCs previously, acted as a "To much new hardware for your OEM copy to handle, now locking down" That to me makes the most sense, but I don't see how the Raid Configs wouldn't also be lost, yes its a different chip, but its still a NVRAM chip that has to be powered 24/7 (by the bios battery) in order to maintain raid configs. Re-activiating windows isn't an issue, I'll try to re-enter my pin, otherwise continue to hold on the phone. Any ideas what may cause this? My brain hurts from using it straight after a holiday :(

So...Any ideas anyone? I'd like to try to prevent it from happening again if I can, including a UPS if need be.

power spike maybe. I would get a UPS if I were you, but make sure you spend some $$$ on one. I got a cheaper one and my comp killed it from draining the battery.
