Oculus released its hardware data showing the makeup of hardware used by Rift owners. No surprised here but Intel and Nvidia win big.

On the CPU front, the most popular CPU is i7-6700K with 9.8%. Overall Intel is used by 89.1% of the user base.

With GPU's the winner is the GTX 1070 with 19.4%. Overall Nvidia has 92.2% of the user base.

Windows 10 64-bit is also a clear winner with 94.2% of the user base.

You can see the rest of the data here, though I wish they let us dive a bit deeper into it.

They also have data on the mobile hardware used with Oculus.

That's great to hear about the 1070.  Maybe if I get a bit greedy over the summer I might shell out the money for an OR.  Thing is, I'm still not too impressed with the library of 3D-ready games.  I mean don't get me wrong, I would love to play Doom 3 in 3D just for the hell of it, but it may not be worth the $500 investment just yet.
