I seem to be having this strange problem with my internet connection. Every so often throughout the day, I lose my wireless connection just briefly--we're talking maybe a second or two, and it is just enough to knock me offline, on everything I'm doing internet related.
This is becoming a major source of irritation. But, oddly, it is only my home internet connection that does it. When I am connected to any other wi-fi connection, I stay online no matter what I'm doing or how long I'm connected.
Also, a lot of times I will wake up to a message on my computer that "Windows has detected an IP address conflict".
Any ideas or tips?

restart your router.
1st January 2005
Have you checked for a firmware update for your wireless modem and/or router? Also have you done any speed or ping/packet loss/jitter tests on your connection to see if you're getting abnormal results?
Pingtest.net can do such tests. If you see anything abnormal after checking for and/or installing updates, report any problems to your ISP. Sometimes the card you're connected to at the terminal can be bad.
I'll try restarting my router tomorrow after work. Just ran a pingtest.net test and it detecting nothing abnormal.
Just reset my router. Will post updates as time goes on.
