Omega drivers are drivers based on the offical (and some times beta) drivers ATi Makes. They are then modded to give better preformance or look better depending on how you set it up. They usually give you an FPS increse in games. I gained 30 FPS going from ATi drivers to Omega Drivers. I recomend them.

The Omega drivers are--as has already been covered--based on official ATI/nVidia drivers and are optimised for gaming. I've used them in the past, though I never bothered to benchmark them against standard release drivers. I've never heard anyone complain about them being unstable or unreliable, so if (just) gaming is your thing then I can't come up with a good reason not to use them. I don't currently use them because I'm swapping hardware too often to make it worthwhile (one of the cards is an AIW 9800, and I've found that it's more trouble than it's worth to mess with Omegas + ATI multimedia drivers).

Uh DUH! The Drivers that came with your card are the worst period, anything is better!

Get them, or the latest from the ATI website. Either should do fine, it just depends on which work better on your system, and with your choice of programs.

Hmmm, Voids the warranty? I don't care myself, as long as the thing doesn't overheat. How can they tell if you installed a 3rd party driver? No worries dude.

You can always go to the slightly less capable drivers your Vendor makes. If your Worried about the warranty, use these. GeCube Drivers Page

select the,...

GeCube Radeon X800XT AGP 256mb VIVO Then Select your operating system. Finally Select "Graphics Driver".

HydraVision, is an extra feature package, its up to you if you want it.

DirectX 9 appears to be the DirectX 9 installer.

These won't be as good as ATI's, or those Omega drivers.

Bah, Microsoft Windows.

Most of the Good drivers will do that to you! Ignore when installing Video card drivers. That is nothing at all to worry about.

This just means, it was not tested by Microsoft, or a Microsoft approved Testing company. The Latest drivers from ATI, or nVida, rarely have been tested. But they almost automatically get approved about a week later. :D

I had the same message for my geforce4mx440, in the manual it said to do "continue anyway"

plus if it doesn't work well, just uninstall it or roll back to previous driver.
