whats a 1:1 ratio, and are there any links on how to properly overclock with the omega drivers?
I don't know of any websites, I just tried it, and when my PC stopped working, I rebooted.
Worked fine. As long as you don't check the option "load settings at log on", then you shouldn't have any trouble.
If you are worried about burning up your card, then don't do it. these cards are set to the best settings ATI could figure, for the most reliable, stable, coolest, performance balance.
Just slide the slider, test the settings, and if your screen gets spots, slide it back. If your screen looks the same, then try a game. NFSU seems to be the most affected by overclocking, try it. If you notice any problems, then slide it backwards again.
By problems, usually that refers to peices of walls missing, or having triangular peices strung accross the road, blocking your view. Or stange dots that appear, or anything else, not normal.
This will cause your ATI card to over heat. So try to limit the overclocking to 200mhz or less.
What are the default Spec's? I could crunch the numbers and give you a few recommended settings...
Core speed is 378 and memory speed is 337, so what you think i could overclock that to with default cooling.

Sorry for the Delay... Recommended................
Core 453.6 (454)
Core 491.4 (491 or 492) Mem 438.1 (438)
Max!!!............................. <--- DAMAGE MAY OCCUR!
Core 529.2 (529) <--- May not run above 500
Mem 471.8 (472) <--- May not run above 440
1:1 ratio... <--- sometimes faster to run the GPU core, and the Memory at the same speed. recommended
Core 400 Mem 400
Core 433 Mem 433
MAX!!! <--- DAMAGE MAY OCCUR! Core 460 Mem 460
