So, I'm just wondering what everyone's personal experience with this company is?

ZipZoomFly

They have the camera I'm looking for at 25 less than most other places, but I've never personally even heard of them. Maybe I've just been in a box lately, or too narrowly focused on newegg. So I figured I'd see what you guys thought of them.

Edit: On second thought, I figure I'll make this thread a bit more general. What other online stores besides Newegg do you guys recommend? There are a couple of stores I've seen what I'm looking for at lower prices but have never heard of them. Reviews seem mostly positive for them though.

techforless.com and costcentral.com

Or whatever other good stores you can think of.

I really only use Amazon.co.uk due to the low Euro/Pound exchange rate and the english, uncensored games I can get there. For example, yesterday I bought Anno1404 collectors edition for about 35 pound instead of 70euro it would cost here and that at a exchange rate that is almost 1:1.

ZipZoomFly is legit. They have commercials on TV pretty frequently. I've never ordered from them, but I've never heard anything terrible.

Besides Newegg, I use tigerdirect.com, buy.com, Amazon, and eBay quite frequently.

ZipZoomFly is one of the more common low priced etailers. According to ResellerRatings.com they have a lifetime customer rating of just over 8/10, but in the last 6 months it's slipped to barely more than 6/10. Most store ratings work on a 5 star rating system, so they would currently be ranked 3 out of 5 stars. I would look for an etailer with at least a solid 4 out of 5 rating.

ZipZoomFly.com (Formerly Googlegear) - zipzoomfly.com - Reviews, Ratings and Prices at ResellerRatings Note that the link also shows ZipZoomFly was formerly known as GoogleGear.com. This is what you get when you type in that URL:

"Please note: The website formerly known as Googlegear.com is not now and has never been associated with Google Inc., and is now zipzoomfly.com. To go to zipzoomfly.com, click here."

My guess is they got in trouble with Google for registering such a Domain name. As Zam mentioned, eBay is not a bad place to shop if you're careful to buy from power sellers with a solid customer satisfaction rating.

I generally stick to Newegg, buy.com, and various forums for hardware. For peripherals buy.com cant be beat. They generally cost quite a bit less and the service with them has been very good. I would give them a try if you're looking for a camera.
