I currentley use firefox but some people say Opera is much nicer? Can you tell me what is better?
i've been using opera for 12 months since IE kept getting all kinds of bad stuff on my pc, i like the way that the mouse can be used to navigate through sites and also you can have more that one site up and swap between them (good for comparing prices and specs of stuff) i havent yet looked at firefox but will give it a try sometime tho as opera has been good to me i might stick to that
Thinking about it.
I used to use Opera and it was fine, but then I switced to FireFox and it loaded up web pages quicker as well as images.

I tried to use opera but it did something strange and didn't run properly, then when it did, was not as good as Firefox, so I stuck with that, and am happy all the time. I think most people who say Opera is better haven't actually tried Firefox, either because they're too lazy or just too lazy to try it.
I think the two are pretty much equal. But, Opera does sometimes have trouble loading certain pages. Try out both and decide for yourself, it pretty much comes down to personal preference.
I hate microsoft. Damn service pack 2. -lol Yeah Opera is great. Try it those of you that don't have it.
That's why you don't install it until you are sure everything will work. :)
I am an avid user of both Opera and Firefox. At first, I started only using Opera. Opera was my default browser for about one year. Then, I decided to try Firefox because everyone was talking about it. I didn't like it at first, so I never used it, yet I kept it on my hard drive for one reason or another. I liked Opera a lot better but almost everyone I talked to said that Firefox was the best. Well, I guess that's just because most of them had never tried Opera. Opera has never been as popular as Firefox, but in my opinion, it is of at least equal quality if not more. Now, I use both Opera and Firefox equally, and for different things. I almost never have just one browser running anymore. I use Opera a lot for the IRC client and the mail client, and to open up some Web pages that are loading slowly in Firefox. And I use Firefox for its excellent RSS bookmarks feature, Gmail, and the fact that it does seem to load Web pages a little faster at times.
So all in all, it couldn't hurt to just download both browsers and see which one you like the best. In my case, I liked both equally for different reasons, so I kept both and now use them both equally.
