I am getting annoyed at those stupid Mac commercials that suggest that Windows users are fat, uncool, blow hards who are out of touch with reality. OKAY, we get it. Vista sucks. It's buggy and generally user unfriendly. Windows dominates most of the market share while Apple only dominates the Personal Music Player industry. I mean seriously, Apple should shut up and not have to take up our precious time. Linux is way more popular than Mac OS AND IT ISN'T EVEN PRODUCED BY MAINSTREAM COMPANY! They make fun of the fact that Windows based machines are cobbled together from different branded parts. That means, if one part your computer came with sucks, you can switch it for a better say, mouse. It's an advantage, not a liability. What do you guys think? Oh and by the way I have a message for the apple employees viewing this.:moon:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Mac OS has a bigger market share than Linux. Market share for browsers, operating systems and search engines
I don't like Apple, they put an emphasis on style and brand image rather than value for money. It's alright for some, but I'm usually on a budget.

This thread could get ugly...
Yeah, their commercials are stupid, but who cares? Microsoft ads are just as stupid, only difference being they don't have to stick it to the competitor the way Apple feels the need to. (market share envy)

You hit the nail on the head.
Apple has made it "stylish", or "trendy" to bash Microsoft. I actually prefer Vista to any prior version of Windows. ESPECIALLY Windows XP (ugly. clunky, pointless), I stcu with Windows 2000 until now.
In addition, after taking this class on Microsoft Office 2007, I love this program. It is a beautiful office suite. Very powerful, capable, and fairly intuitive. I can't decide what to make of the interface. On a large enough screen, it is an excellent interface. However, it does break many of the traditional GUI standards. My only problem with it, is that it is not very consistent. Which makes it a bit more difficult for an experienced user to learn, than say "Open Office".

Apple sucks, they think that everybody should buy from them and them only. Microsoft gives you the choice of choosing even Apple products and ideas like FireWire and the Ipod. Mac just thinks that if your not in there little "Rich people Club" then you shouldn't get support like you should. And did I mention that Apple sucks?

Your going to have to explain that one to me, As it doesn't make sense.
Apple gives you the choice of even using "Microsoft Windows"! Can you really say the same thing about Microsoft? No, Apple sucks because it does such a poor job of it, and attacks Microsoft needlessly.
Microsoft stopped supporting Windows Media Player for Mac, and Internet Explorer for Mac, years ago. Apple still supports Quicktime and has now released Safari for Windows,... Also, Apple supports the iPods, and Firewire, Not Microsoft. And that is whether you use Windows, or OS X. Not that Apple has great support, but,...
I really do think that Microsoft sucks more than Apple. Looking at the quality differences between a Mac Cube, or the iPhone, and something like say, the "X-Box 360".
Seriously, Microsoft sucks!

Granted it's not like Microsoft makes PCs which this can be compared to, but out of 4 iMacs and 3 PowerMacs we have one PowerMac surviving intact. The rest either need parts replacing (quite frankly it's not worth the effort) or are completely buggered.
One of our Mac Minis has a cracked top because someone put something on top of it. Ok, not the most intelligent thing to do when it has a plastic top panel, but then I kinda have to wonder which genius decided to make that panel out of plastic to start with?
I'd also like to know how many early iPods you still see around? I've literally not seen any for years - is that because they're a fashion item or simply because none of the older ones work now? I know a variety of people (including me) that have products of similar ages from competing companies like Creative which work just fine.
And although I've no direct experience with them, the various problems with iBooks, PowerBooks, Macbooks are well documented I believe.

Yeah, but at least Microsoft doesn't insult Apple's customers, therefore using honey not vinegar. (Sorry for archaic saying, next thing you now I'm going to start trying to hit people with rocks.)

I agree those commercials are annoying. Also I share woarber's view on it. See above.
I have had something against Apple since I was born, same with my dad (except probably once he found out what Apple and iMac was...) I think they put too much effort on how their computers look and not enough on if they are functional. Such as...You buy a mac, but you want a bigger Hard Drive later...What Happens?!? You have to buy a new mac or tear yours appart and hope you can put it together again with the HD inside. And whats up with apple mice? Hockey Pucks? :/
I am so disappointed in that last post.
Hockey Puck Mice!? That is like complaining about Microsoft BOB, or "Windows 6" ("Office for Windows 6")... Or Nintendo's Power Glove, or Virtual Boy, etc... It was a mistake. A limited one.
The iMac? A lot of Apple's Mac's have easily serviceable drive bays. Its often as simple as pressing a button, to pull the drive out.
The iMac, and the Cube, were just freaks. As well as fairly succesful attempts to regain its dwindling market share, and keep from becoming irrelavant.
Apple is the other side of the coin. Without them, Microsoft would have a real monopoly.
