More specifically i have an Intel Core i3 380m @ 2.53 GHz
This ASUS laptop (AnandTech.com - ASUS U41JF: Arrandale's Not Dead Yet) has the same exact cpu overclockable 15% to 2.91GHz
I want to do the same but the problem is I have an Acer not an Asus, so I do not have the power4gear software that overclocks the cpu.
So how can I overclock my cpu to the same as the Asus, and what software would I use?
It's done in the laptop's BiOS, unless it doesn't have the option to do so (meaning it's locked at that clock).
Yea my BIOS is useless, I don't see an option for cpu. I know there's programs that can overclock, I just don't know enough about it
Intel has an application called Extreme Tuning or something like that...
That should be it, but I'm not sure if it'll work.
try setfsb. Should be able to look up the PLL for your board.
Why would you want to overclock a laptop, don't they have enough heat issues as it is?
